Willmott Dixon have an exciting and free opportunity for young people in Birmingham!


As part of their commitment to Birmingham, in recent months they have been fundraising for Wide Horizons, the national adventure learning charity for disadvantaged young people. We are pleased to announce that they have now raised enough money to take 10-12 young people from Birmingham on an adventure learning holiday to Wales in April!

Programme details:

  • Date: Monday 4th April – Friday 8th April 2016
  • Numbers: 10-12 spaces available
  • Participant age: 16-24 years of age
  • Participant Criteria: Living in deprivation / behind in their education / NEET / Young Carer

The Life Chances Residential programme is an inspirational, high quality outdoor learning experience. Where the aim is to inspire young people to learn and become environmentally conscious, active members of their communities with the right skills to build their own futures. The week long residential will provide young people with the opportunity to try a variety of adventurous activities. As well as being challenging and fun, the programme is designed to develop key skills such as communication, team work and decision making.
Victoria Young, Regional Customer & Community Manager (Midlands) has been working with Carla Bates from BCC’s Think Family Team to identify individuals that would benefit from this opportunity, however they still have some spaces to fill.
