Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week 2016 takes place from
16th – 22nd May

The theme for this years Mental Health Awareness Week is Relationships and how they benefit us.

When we think about relationships, we probably think about our girlfriends or boyfriends, yet not many of us think about our friends and friendships we have made over the years. Is this because we take them for granted?

So what are the benefits of a good relationship:

  1. Good relationships help us live longer and happier lives with fewer physical and mental health problems.
  2. Your BFFs can help you through tough stuff.
  3. Friends can help you cope with rejection.
  4. Increased confidence and progression
  5. Friends can give you a cognitive boost

Investing in your relationships is as important as healthy eating, exercising and not smoking.
